Join us as a swimmer
We are a swimming club for people with disabilities.
We welcome people of all ages and swimming abilities, whether you're putting your toe into the water for the first time or are a more serious swimmer.
Join us a volunteer
The club is run entirely by volunteers.
Many attend regularly on a weekly basis and others come as and when they can.
New volunteers are supported by those who are more experienced, many of whom have undertaken instructor training.
The club pays for all volunteers to undergo a DBS check.
Some members volunteer as part of their Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Join us as a relative/carer of a swimmer
Some relatives and carers choose to get into the water with their swimmers and support them themselves.
Others prefer to stay on poolside, in which case a volunteer will be happy to support your swimmer in the water.
Whichever you choose, instructors are always on hand to provide additional support.
The club is run on an entirely voluntary basis and therefore there is no weekly fee. To cover insurance and Halliwick membership we ask all swimmers to pay a very small annual administration fee of £5.00.
