Barracuda Swimming Club was established in 1968.

We have swimmers with a range of conditions including arthritis, autism, cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, epilepsy, global learning difficulties, hyper mobility, multiple sclerosis and muscular dystophy.

On average we have 20-25 swimmers a week, a number of whom swim independently and 15-20 volunteers.

We also have instructors on poolside and a Furzefield Centre lifeguard.

Relatives and carers who choose not to get into the water are welcome to watch from poolside or up in the gallery.
