Barracuda Swimming Club

We are a swimming club for people with disabilities.  We welcome people of all ages and swimming abilities no matter the severity of physical or learning disability.

We meet every Sunday at 11:30-12:30 at the Furzefield Centre, Potters Bar where we have exclusive use of the pool.

Barracuda Swimming Club is affiliated to the Halliwick Association of Swimming Therapy and many of our volunteers have completed Halliwick instructor training.  We teach and award badges to swimmers according to the Halliwick programme.

Most swimmers will begin working one-to-one with one of our volunteers who will help them develop the skills and confidence needed to become safe and independent swimmers.

Some of our swimmers regularly compete in galas held by other local disabled swimming clubs.  We also hold our own annual gala in June.  See our News page for upcoming dates.
